Seamless, weather-proof, flexible, and lightweight, they hold UL Class A fire classification and offer exceptional resistance to harsh weather elements and building movements. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rapid Roof\u2122 III Top Coat is an acrylic, elastomeric, and monolithic roof coating that holds the ENERGY STAR certification for energy efficiency and reflectivity. It reflects up to 85% of sunrays and slashes the cooling and heating energy bills so significantly that many building owners have completely recovered their investment <em>inside<\/em> the warranty period.<\/p>\n<p>Available in bright white, light gray, and light tan finishes, the top coat is a water-based formulation that is environment-friendly and easily cleaned. with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rapid Roof\u2122 III Base Coat<\/li>\n<li>Prime Time<\/li>\n<li>Prime Time Plus<\/li>\n<li>Tack Coat Primer<\/li>\n<li>Metal Ready Universal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Coverage Rate<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic application rates:\n<ul>\n<li>First apply Rapid Roof\u2122 III Base Coat at the rate of 1.9 gallons per 100 square feet (sq. ft.)<\/li>\n<li>Then apply Rapid Roof\u2122 III Top Coat at the rate of 1.9 gallons per 100 sq. ft.<\/li>\n<li>The rates include a loss allowance of 15% for application and 10% for surface texture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Use extra coatings when roofing substrates are highly irregular<\/li>\n<li>The coatings must cover the entire roof in an unbroken, continuous film with a minimum dry thickness of 13.5 mils per coat<\/li>\n<li>If you are using granules, embed them with a second top coat at the rate of:\n<ul>\n<li>0 gallon per 100 sq. ft. for Roofing Granules<\/li>\n<li>50 pounds (lbs) per 100 sq. ft. for Quartz Granules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Application<\/h3>\n<p>Guidelines for the application of Rapid Roof\u2122 III Base Coat and Rapid Roof\u2122 III Top Coat:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the personnel using the products have thoroughly read and understood the safety data sheet<\/li>\n<li>Personnel spraying the coatings must use a NIOSH-approved mist \/ dust mask<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the personnel are also wearing other, proper personal protective equipment (PPE) because the products:\n<ul>\n<li>Contain chemicals that the State of California identifies as those that may cause birth defects, cancer, and reproductive disorders<\/li>\n<li>Are harmful when swallowed<\/li>\n<li>Can cause irritation for the skin, eyes, and the respiratory system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mix the coatings thoroughly with themselves before use (i.e. mix Rapid Roof\u2122 III Base Coat with itself in the container before use)<\/li>\n<li>Do not mix the base coat with the top coat and do not dilute them using other substances, solvents, or liquids<\/li>\n<li>Before applying, ensure the surface is:\n<ul>\n<li>Dry, solid, clean, and structurally sound<\/li>\n<li>Smooth and finished<\/li>\n<li>Free of impurities that obstruct proper adhesion viz. moisture, chips of roofing and other material, contaminants, grease, dirt, and wax<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For application on certain surfaces and decks, you will have to establish \/ install special drains, roofing vents, positive slope to drain, vapour retarders, flashings, and expansion joints<\/li>\n<li>Do not apply the coatings on a SPF foam surface that has the following textures:\n<ul>\n<li>Tree bark<\/li>\n<li>Verge popcorn<\/li>\n<li>Popcorn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Temperature and Moisture guidelines:\n<ul>\n<li>Ambient temperature must be between 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F and 100<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Relative humidity must be below 80%<\/li>\n<li>Surface temperature should be at least 5<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F above dew point but less than 120<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Do not apply during inclement weather<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The surface \/ roof where you apply the coating should have:\n<ul>\n<li><em>Less than<\/em> 36 sq. ft. of water in any area with a depth of \u00bc-inch or more at a time of 48 hours after rains<\/li>\n<li><em>Less than<\/em> 5% of the total surface area under <em>bird baths<\/em>e. small, inconsequential water ponds on roofs that evaporate rapidly<\/li>\n<li>Arrangements to quickly drain away water<\/li>\n<li><em>Zero<\/em> ponding water if the surface is polyurethane foam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dispose product in a manner that abides by local, state, and federal regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Storage Requirements <\/h3>\n<p>Storage guidelines for Rapid Roof\u2122 III Base Coat and Rapid Roof\u2122 III Top Coat:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Store the coatings at a cool location that is:\n<ul>\n<li>Above 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Protected from freezing<\/li>\n<li>Out of reach of children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Close containers tightly when you are not using the
