rates:\n<ul>\n<li>First apply the Benchmark\u2122 Base Coat at the rate of 1.9 gallons per 100 square feet (sq. ft.)<\/li>\n<li>Then apply PUMA\u2122 XL at the rate of 1.9 gallons per 100 sq. ft.<\/li>\n<li>This includes a loss allowance of 15% for application and 10% for surface texture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Use extra product when roofing substrates are very rough<\/li>\n<li>The coating must cover all the roof as an unbroken, continuous film with a minimum dry thickness of 13.5 mils per coat<\/li>\n<li>If you are using granules, embed them by applying a second top coat at the rate of:\n<ul>\n<li>0 gallon per 100 sq. ft. for Roofing Granules<\/li>\n<li>50 pounds (lbs) per 100 sq. ft. for Quartz Granules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Application<\/h3>\n<p>Guidelines for the application of PUMA\u2122 XL Top Coat:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the personnel using the products have thoroughly read and understood the safety data sheet<\/li>\n<li>Personnel spraying the coating must use a NIOSH-approved mist \/ dust mask<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the personnel are also wearing other, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) because the product:\n<ul>\n<li>Contains chemicals that the State of California recognizes as ones that can cause cancer, reproductive disorders, and birth defects<\/li>\n<li>Is harmful if swallowed<\/li>\n<li>May cause irritation for skin, eyes, and respiratory system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mix the coating completely with itself before use<\/li>\n<li>Do not mix or dilute the coating using other liquids, solvents, or substances<\/li>\n<li>Before applying, ensure the surface is:\n<ul>\n<li>Solid, clean, dry, and structurally sound<\/li>\n<li>Finished and smooth<\/li>\n<li>Free of impurities that block proper adhesion viz. contaminants, chips of roofing and other material, dirt, moisture, wax, and grease<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Do not apply on SPF foam surfaces that have the following textures:\n<ul>\n<li>Popcorn<\/li>\n<li>Verge popcorn<\/li>\n<li>Tree bark<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For application on certain surfaces and decks, you will have to establish \/ install special drains, roofing vents, positive slope to drain, vapor retarders, flashings, and expansion joints<\/li>\n<li>Temperature and Moisture guidelines:\n<ul>\n<li>Ambient temperature must be between 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F and 100<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Relative humidity must be less than 80%<\/li>\n<li>Surface temperature should be at least 5<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F above dew point but less than 120<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Avoid applying during inclement weather<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The surface \/ roof where you apply the coating should have:\n<ul>\n<li><em>Less than<\/em> 36 sq. ft. of water in any area with a depth of \u00bc-inch or more at a time of 48 hours after rains<\/li>\n<li><em>Less than<\/em> 5% of the total surface area under <em>bird baths<\/em>e. small and irrelevant water ponds on roofs that evaporate rapidly<\/li>\n<li>Preparations to rapidly drain away the water<\/li>\n<li><em>Zero<\/em> ponding water if the surface is polyurethane foam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dispose product in a manner as prescribed by local, state, and federal regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Storage Requirements <\/h3>\n<p>Storage guidelines for PUMA\u2122 XL:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Store the coating at a cool location that is:\n<ul>\n<li>Above 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Protected from freezing<\/li>\n<li>Out of reach of
