When used in combination with Wac II\u2122, Conklin\u2019s high-strength and weathered acrylic roof cleaner, Tack Coat\u2122 prepares aged and hard-to-adhere roof substrates for the application of base coats and top coats.<\/p>\n<p>Also acting as a promoter of adhesion or bonding, Tack Coat\u2122 prepares the following types of roofing substrates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hypalon<\/li>\n<li>EPDM<\/li>\n<li>TPO<\/li>\n<li>PVC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After priming these roof surfaces, you can apply the following of Conklin\u2019s base coats and top 250-300 square feet (sq. ft.)<\/li>\n<li>Exact coverage rate depends on the roof condition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Application<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the personnel have read and completely understood the safety data sheet<\/li>\n<li>Also, ensure the personnel are wearing other, relevant personal protective equipment (PPE) because the primer:\n<ul>\n<li>Includes chemicals that the State of California recognizes as possible causatives for birth defects, cancer, and reproductive disorders<\/li>\n<li>Is combustible<\/li>\n<li>Can cause extreme irritation for the respiratory system if you inhale its vapor<\/li>\n<li>May severely irritate skin and eyes<\/li>\n<li>Is harmful when swallowed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Other safety considerations during application:\n<ul>\n<li>Prevent prolonged or repeated contact with skin<\/li>\n<li>Use only in well-ventilated locations<\/li>\n<li>Protect from sparks, heat, and open flame<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Temperature and Moisture guidelines:\n<ul>\n<li>Ambient temperature must be above 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F and below 100<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Relative humidity must be below 80%<\/li>\n<li>Surface temperature should be at least 5<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F above dew point but less than 120<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Do not apply in inclement weather<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You can apply Tack Coat\u2122 only after completely cleaning the roofing substrate with Wac II\u2122 as recommended by the manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>Before application, mix Tack Coat\u2122 completely with itself in the container (you can use a drill-mounted jiffy mixer for mixing the primer available in 55-gallon drums)<\/li>\n<li>Apply Tack Coat\u2122 at full strength \u2013 do not dilute or thin the primer<\/li>\n<li>Use a brush, conventional airless sprayer, roller, or portable tank sprayer for application<\/li>\n<li>Tack Coat\u2122 is clear when applied and when it has dried thoroughly<\/li>\n<li>Allow it to dry completely after application (drying time is between 2 and 8 hours with the exact time depending on temperature and humidity)<\/li>\n<li>Excessive application or exposure to moisture before it has cured will turn the primer milky white and require extra time for drying<\/li>\n<li>Dispose the primer in compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Storage Requirements <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Store the primers at a cool location that is:\n<ul>\n<li>Above 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Shielded from open flame, sparks, and heat<\/li>\n<li>Well ventilated<\/li>\n<li>Protected from freezing<\/li>\n<li>Out of reach of children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Close containers tightly when not using the
