It produces a unique effect of penetrating into rust and expelling air. This makes it useful for application on non-rusted as well as rusted metal surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>The primer is formulated for use in combination with Conklin\u2019s Rust-Off\u2122 Rust &amp; Oxide Remover. Conklin Encase\u2122:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the personnel using the primer have read and completely understood the safety data sheet<\/li>\n<li>If personnel are spraying the primer, make sure they use a NIOSH-approved mist \/ dust mask<\/li>\n<li>Also, ensure the personnel are wearing other, relevant personal protective equipment (PPE) because the primer:\n<ul>\n<li>Contains chemicals that the State of California lists as those that can cause birth defects, cancer, and reproductive disorders<\/li>\n<li>Is harmful or even fatal when swallowed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mix thoroughly before use<\/li>\n<li>Do not dilute or thin the primer<\/li>\n<li>Temperature and Moisture guidelines:\n<ul>\n<li>Ambient temperature must be 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F or above<\/li>\n<li>Relative humidity must be below 80%<\/li>\n<li>Surface temperature should be at least 5<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F above dew point<\/li>\n<li>Do not apply during inclement weather<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Surface Preparation for new or old galvanized steel:\n<ul>\n<li>Use wire brushing, sandblasting, or scraping to eliminate loose rust, run-down paint, and scales from rusty and deteriorated metal surfaces<\/li>\n<li>Spray a 1:20 solution of Rust-Off\u2122 Rust &amp; Oxide Remover<\/li>\n<li>Use water to totally wash-off chemical residue and dirt<\/li>\n<li>Allow the surface to dry completely<\/li>\n<li>Apply Conklin Encase\u2122<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Surface Preparation for factory finished metal surfaces such as Kynar coatings and siliconized polyester:\n<ul>\n<li>Spray a 1:20 solution of Rust-Off\u2122 Rust &amp; Oxide Remover<\/li>\n<li>Use water to totally wash-off chemical residue and dirt<\/li>\n<li>Allow the surface to dry completely<\/li>\n<li>Apply Conklin Encase\u2122<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For application on small-area surfaces and for touch-up jobs, use a natural fiber brush of good quality<\/li>\n<li>For application on large-area surfaces, use spray equipment or roller<\/li>\n<li>When using spray equipment, set the spray tip at 0.015 to 0.017<\/li>\n<li>Allow the primer to dry before applying the top coat<\/li>\n<li>Dispose the primer in a manner that complies with local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Storage Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Store the primer at a cool place that is:\n<ul>\n<li>Above 40<sup>\u00b0<\/sup>F<\/li>\n<li>Protected from freezing<\/li>\n<li>Out of reach of children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Close containers tightly when not using the
